TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2021, Qualification, Age – Check Category Wise Eligibility Here

Applicants must verify TANCET 2021 eligibility before applying for the exam. TANCET is a graduate exam regulated by Anna University on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government. The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted to allow admission to M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and various other PG courses offered by different universities in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The eligibility criteria for TANCET 2021 include the qualifications and requirements that applicants must meet to take the entrance exam. The different eligibility criteria for TANCET 2021 include information on academic criteria, trademarks, and addresses that must be met. Failure to meet the TANCET 2021 eligibility criteria will prevent applicants from taking the entrance exam.

TANCET is held annually for M.Tech/M.E admissions. in the engineering programs of the participating institutions. GATE-qualified applicants will not be required to qualify for TANCET. However, qualified candidates for GATE XE / XL must apply for the entrance exam.

TANCET Eligibility 2021

All applicants are encouraged to read the TANCET 2021 eligibility criteria before completing the online application form. Before registering for the TANCET exam, students must check the TANCET 2021 eligibility criteria whether they are eligible or not. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria listed below will be eligible for TANCET. The detailed eligibility criteria for various courses offered in this exam are mentioned below:

Qualification Eligibility

For MBA (Master of Business Administration):

  • Qualifying Exam: Applicants must have a three-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • The above exam must be passed as a 10 + 2 + 3/4 year model OR 10 + 3 year diploma + 3 year model OR BE, B.Tech, B. Arch & B. Pharm OR 10 + 2 + FRIEND * OR 10+ 3-year diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIGO.
  • Percentage criteria: Must have obtained 50% (45% for reserved categories).

For MCA (Master of Computer Application):

  • Qualifying Exam: Applicants must have a three-year bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
  • Subject: Applicants must have a 10 + 2 math level or a diploma.
  • Applicants must score the above exam as a 10 + 2 + 3/4 year model OR 10 + 3 year diploma + 3 year model OR 10 + 2 + FRIEND * OR 10 + 3 year diploma (awarded by the Council National technical education) + FRIEND. *
  • Percentage criteria: Must have obtained 50% (45% for reserved categories).

For MCA (Lateral Entry):

  • Qualifying Exam: Applicants must have completed a three-year Bachelor’s degree in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science) from any recognized university.
  • Subjects: Applicants must have 10 + 2 mathematics or a diploma.
  • Percentage criteria: Must have obtained 50% (45% for reserved categories).

For ME, M.Tech, M.Plan & M.Arch:

  • Qualification Exam: Candidates must have a recognized Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
  • Applicants must pass the above exam as BE / B.Tech / B.Arch or B.Pharm or Master in the corresponding prescribed branch of science/arts or 10 + 2 + FRIEND * or 10 + 3 years diploma (issued by the State Council of Technical Education) + AMIGO. *
  • Percentage criteria: Must have obtained 50% (45% for reserved categories).
  • GATE Category: Applicants with a valid GATE 2019, GATE 2020, or GATE 2021 score with qualifying scores for the assistantship in the relevant Engineering / Technology discipline, do not need to take the TANCET 2021 exam. They can apply based on the GATE panel.
  • TANCET Category: Applicants who have a valid GATE 2019, GATE 2020, and GATE 2021 score with qualifying scores for Assistantship in Engineering Sciences (XE) and Life Sciences (XL), must also take the TANCET 2021 exam.

Other Eligibility:

  • Students who take the final semester/year of the qualifying exam (except AMIE) in April / May 2021 can also apply.
  • Applicants from other states can also appear on this test, but the eligibility requirements will be stipulated by the admission college.
  • Candidates who have obtained the BE / B. The technical diploma in distance/weekend mode is not eligible
  • Students who have a qualifying degree without completing the tenth, twelfth, or third year are not eligible.
  • Students admitted by parallel entry to a course are not eligible, except for the BE, B.Tech, and MCA programs.
