The examining authority will prescribe the NIFT 2021 exam template a few months after the exam. The NIFT (National Institute of Fashion and Technology) organized the entrance test at the national level, known as the NIFT entrance test. The National Institute of Fashion and Technology offers various courses such as B.F.Tech, B.Des, M.F.M, M.Des, and M.F.Tech in the field of fashion and technology.

NIFT Exam Pattern 2021

Applicants should prefer the exam template for better preparation if they have applied for the NIFT exam. It is very helpful for candidates to know the structure of the question document.

NIFT will organize the GAT, CAT, GD & PI interview cycles to allow the admission of candidates to the B.Des and M.Des programs.

A Creative Ability Test (CAT) will be conducted to judge the candidate’s intuitive ability, design ability, and power of observation in concept development.

Based on the exam template mentioned below, candidates can better prepare for the NIFT exam.

  • Mode: The NIFT 2021 Entrance Exam will be conducted in offline mode.
  • Language: The questionnaire will be in English.
  • Sections: The GAT test will include questions from various sections, namely quantitative ability, English comprehension, communication ability, analytical ability, current affairs, and G.K.
  • Several questions: In B.Des the total of questions will be 100 and in M. Des the total of questions will be 120.
  • Exam duration: The duration of the two entrance exams will be 2 hours.

GAT Exam

The GAT will also be held for the B.F.Tech, M.F.M, M.Des, and M.F.Tech programs.

  • Mode: it will run in offline mode.
  • Duration: The duration of these tests will be 3 hours.
  • Sections: It will include questions from various sections, namely, quantitative ability, analytical and logical ability, communication ability, and understanding of English, current affairs, and G.K, case study.
  • Several questions: The total number of questions asked in B.F.Tech, M.F.M, M. Des, and M.F.Tech will be 150.
  • Marking scheme: there will be no negative marking.

NIFT Situation Test

These candidates have obtained qualifying scores on the NIFT entrance test, they can take the situation test, GD, and PI interviews. This test is performed to calculate the innovation and material handling capabilities based on the supplied materials and the situation.

NIFT GD & Personal Interview Round

The group discussion will only last 15-20 minutes of discussion related to the assigned case study. Through this round, the different factors of the candidates like interpersonal skills, problem-solving approach, effective communication, etc. will be selection criteria

The personal interview will cover various factors such as aptitude for the course, creative thinking, general awareness and aptitude, career orientation, communication, general success in extracurricular and academic activities, etc.
